501(C)(3) Status Approved!
We are proud to announce another major advancement for SciTech STEM. The Internal Revenue Service has officially recognized SciTech STEM as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, with the determination effective retroactively to October 1, 2025, the date the organization was formally established in the State of Michigan.
This designation affirms that SciTech STEM meets federal requirements to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. Receiving 501(c)(3) status allows the organization to better serve the community in meaningful ways. Donations made to SciTech STEM may now be tax-deductible for supporters, helping to encourage charitable giving and long-term sustainability. In addition, this status makes SciTech STEM eligible for a broader range of grants, public and private funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships that support science and technology education. Most importantly, it strengthens our ability to expand low-cost and accessible programs that benefit individuals, families, and underserved communities. We are grateful for the continued support and excited for what lies ahead.
Formation!
We are excited to share an important milestone in our journey. In October 2025, the official paperwork for the formation of SciTech STEM was filed with the State of Michigan, formally establishing the organization as a nonprofit. We are happy to announce that the filing was accepted, marking a major step forward in our mission.
This approval represents more than just a legal designation—it reflects our commitment to serving the community through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Becoming an officially recognized nonprofit allows SciTech STEM to expand its reach, build stronger partnerships, and continue developing programs and services that make STEM education and technology access more inclusive. We are grateful for the support that helped make this possible and look forward to what comes next.
