What We Are
SciTech STEM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in the State of Michigan with a mission to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as essential tools for community growth and opportunity. We operate as a community-centered organization, delivering educational programs and practical services designed to increase access to STEM knowledge and resources. Our work prioritizes local communities, nonprofit organizations, and individuals who are underserved or face barriers to participation in today’s technology-driven world. Through education, outreach, and service, SciTech STEM exists to strengthen digital literacy, foster innovation, and ensure that the benefits of STEM are accessible to all.
Why We Are We Doing This
SciTech STEM exists because access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics is no longer optional—it is essential for full participation in modern society. Too many individuals, families, and organizations face barriers to education, technology, and technical support due to cost, access, or lack of resources. These gaps limit opportunity, economic mobility, and community resilience. We are doing this to close those gaps. By providing accessible STEM education and practical services, SciTech STEM empowers underserved communities, supports local nonprofits, and strengthens local capacity. Our purpose is to ensure that knowledge, tools, and technical skills are available to those who need them most, enabling communities to thrive, adapt, and build a more equitable future.
How We Are We Doing This
SciTech STEM advances its mission by delivering education, services, and products that are accessible, practical, and responsive to community needs. We offer our services at no cost or at reasonable, affordable prices to ensure financial barriers do not prevent participation. In addition, we provide products that align with the interests and needs of the community, with proceeds directly supporting our programs and outreach efforts. Our work is sustained through a combination of material donations, monetary contributions, volunteer engagement, and broad community support. By reinvesting these resources back into our programs, SciTech STEM operates in a sustainable, mission-driven manner that maximizes impact while remaining accountable to the communities we serve.
